Default Sensor on oil pan..

Since I don't have my service manuals (they are at the shop), anyone know off the top of their head if the sensor on the driver's side of the oil pan is the oil level sensor, or the oil temperature sensor?

Thanks!

I'm making my list of sensors and other small things to replace while the engine is apart.

Curtis,
If it's the sensor on the drivers side right above the oil filter then it's the oil temp sensor. I know this because the clip on mine broke and I'm constantly having to climb under the car and plug it in to get my oil temp gauge to work.

If you refer the the big thing IN THE PAN, looks like a great big nut. That's oil level. If it's in the block it's oil temp.

Yeah, it goes horizontally in the side of the oil pan.

be sure it gets removed before the pan does. I forgot to get mine out and broke it. It was like - hmmm...I wonder why the pan won't come down. Fiddle fiddle. oh year oil level sensor needs to come off. removed it. Its broken. DOH.
