I had same situation with my 87. Light went out and didn't show up again. About a week or so later, oil started pouring out. Turned out to be the oil pressure switch. I am no expert but the SES light must mean something

The EGR system (on your year) has three elements, i.e. EGR Valve, EGR Sol, EGR Temp Sw; there is a method on my site to test these elements to determine if one is malfunctioning.

It sounds as though the ECM is calling for EGR while cruzing but is not detecting the valve opening.

I run a 160deg T-stat so my ECM rarely tries to open the valve except on hot summer days.

Same thing happened to my 87, when I did a search here someone stated 95% of the time it's the EGR switch, 10-15 bucks, about 15 minutes work and it solved my problem.

Default Ceramic And Wire

On The Right Side Of The Engine Where The Tube With The Silver Insulation. The Wire That Goes Into The Ceramic Piece Is Loose. The Wire Goes Behind The Distributor. Can I Unplug The Wire And Screw That Wire Into The Ceramic. Will It Or Not Screw In. But I Can Tell You The Wire Is Very Loose. Could That Throw A Code 32?

When I had the intake base off I moved that connector up to the RH side of the dist for easy access. In your case I'd just cut that green wire and splice in a new connector with a little more wire.

Since the ceramic top is loose I'd say you have found the culpret...
