Technical Video.
A section on removal (draining the tranny, TV cable, starter, distributor cap, etc.) would also be helpful as the FSM does not cover this very well. It only focuses on repairing the transmission ON the car. You could also outline what tools are necessary for the job, parts to buy (including how many quarts of ATF), and time estimated would be nice additions. Another section on installing aftermarket coolers would be great too! It would be a tremendous favor and awesome tool for ALL 700R4//4l60e owners. I haven't even removed the tranny itself and see how much more difficult everything is when the pictures are 2D and instructions are ambiguous.
I'm sure many more vette owners would rebuild their transmissions if you explained everything step-by-step like you're speaking to 4th graders. I know I would have bought your DVD instead of the Paul Zank one...

Wha I was thinking was something much more detailed.
The transgo shift kits are popular, but quite complicated. Some generic video coverage of them would be a nice addition. Have to be careful not to show specific brand products though, as not to infringe on copyrights.
What I am trying to say if you had a video of the most common mods, I would have definitely bought it. Its seems that a lot of the F body dudes rebuild their own transmisions.
I would still buy one if you made it for future reference, or non-removal mods. I would then sell the video I have.
Ok, camera, action!!!!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

1) At around 41mph threw 50mph trans shifts in and out of overdrive/lock-up. All other mph seems to work fine as far as overdrive/lock.
2) At high speeds (100mph+) the trans will not hold overdrive like the Corvette auto trans should. (my 85 holds overdrive at 110mph+) I'm told it's a corvette and police package option for the auto trans 700R4.
3) This is under heavy to WOT shifts, under normal accretion trans shifts good (not great).1st to 2nd shifts soft, kind of slides into 2nd. 2nd to 3rd shifts are real soft, really slides into 3rd. 3rd to 4th shifts are really really soft. Trans does not slip and is real solid when in gear, goes into reverse just fine, fast and solid. I spoke with the last owner about this, and he said when he first got the car back from the engine and trans rebuild. The Vette shifted real nice but only lasted 45-60 days. He also stated that he paid extra for a shift kit to be installed in it.
I have change the fluid and filter in the trans and it looked real good and clean.
I bought a B&M shift kit to install in it.(thats why I'm looking for the video) From doing some research I find that the valve body might of come loose, and or the spacer plate/tin might be worn and not sealing, or gaskets on either side of the spacer plate/tin might be leaking or installed wrong. To cause my soft shifts under heavy throttle.I also found this "SONNAX .500 TV BOOST VALVE, 700R4, 2004R (S74507TK)~ here is the link to it on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
It sounds like it could be part of my problems. So I was going to buy this and install this while I was in the trans. So I'm thinking reinstalling a new shift kit with new gaskets, checking placement of ball bearings, torques, and spacer plate/tin will solve this problem?
As far as the problem with it not holding overdrive I found this on Ebay "700r4 / 4L60 / 4L60E 4th Gear Super Hold Servo Billet " this is the link to it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
Do you think this will solve my problem for "2) At high speeds (100mph+) the trans will not hold overdrive like the Corvette auto trans should"??
Last problem 1) At around 41mph threw 50mph trans shifts in and out of overdrive/lock-up. I found a adjustable lock up solenoid on Ebay also. Is that a good solution to this problem??
I have never been into a trans except for a fluid and filter change. I know VERY LITTLE about them. So before I spend the money for a super hold servo, .500 TV BOOST VALVE, and adjustable lock up solenoid. I wanted to check with a professional as to if these are my solutions to my problems. And If I understand right all this can be done with the trans in the car. Any help, input, instructions, and maybe videos would be great!! I know this is allot to ask and I would be willing to pay$$ for your time along with purchasing any videos!! Also if you sale the parts I need I would just buy them from you. I have already bought the B&M shift kit, but if you think I should use something els thats no problem.
THANKS, BOB
