Yes, NCRS will deduct points if you do not have the correct Pace Car decals. As you know, the decals came in a boxed set specifically part numbered for the color of your car. The decals were NOT installed. NCRS will deduct points if you do not have the boxed set, if the set is incomplete (missing or incorrect color decals), or if they are installed on the car. The correct configuration is decals in the OEM box, placed in the storage area behind the seats.
Also, yes I do have the original Bose demo tape in an unopened box. I also have a demo tape out of the box. Unfortunately, the demo tape is not a judged item so no points are given nor decucted for having it or not. The NCRS judges will ask you to play a tape (any tape) to verify that your tape player works properly.
Good luck with the continued restoration of your Pace Car
Thanks for the info Pete. I actually have the Judging Guide and skimmed it, but getting info from someone that has actually been through it is so much better.
congrats! I have a problem with not modifying my vehicles
Alan - I have never seen a Corvette that I did not like. Some I like better than others, but NEVER saw one I did not like.
You should enjoy your Corvette as you like. I had many modifications to mine for years, but have decided to take the NCRS route for now. I still hate the OEM exhaust, wheels and the breadbox. I can't wait to get my BBS wheels and catback system reinstalled.
