My power antenna is stuck UP! Any ideas? I didn't see a fuse?!
I don't have book 2 of the 1992 Service Manual. Book 1 says it's page 8a-151 I think of book 2 for the diagnosis.
Thanks,
-Rick
Wipe it clean, spray with WD40 and gently push the antenna back down and try it a few times and see if it goes back up and then down. I have done that before.
Why was this Moved??????

I will check it out but more than likely the radio fuse is for the antenna also.
You have to find out if it is mechanically held up or electrically. If a limit switch in the antenna broke it may keep trying to push it up. Can you hear any power being applied to it if some one else turns radio on and off.
If all power is removed from the antenna, you should be able to push it down some degree. You may have to try to disconnect the car battery to get some additional information and test this idea. If it is mechanically held, it will have to come apart. These ideas just may get you started in the correct direction.
.....if you activate the radio and listen at the antenna, do you hear the motor running in the antenna?.....if ya do, chances are that the ribbon from the antenna is bound up inside the motor housing.......
Hello,
I have No Idea about your car! My 87 has a relay for the antenna and the problem you describe is usually the antenna or the relay(and usually the Relay breaks the antenna).
Follow the leads from the antenna into the car and find it's relay(If similiar to a 87). Cange out the relay and see if it works.
Like I said, I have no idea about a 95, but if they are similiar, this might be the way to go.
The relay is about $15.00, whereas the antenna is about $100.+++.
I hope this info is helpful, If it applicable to your car.
