If you want to delete the A/C and smog pulleys at the same time you will need a standard rotation WP. You'll also need some kind of tensioner. I fabbed up a slotted one that tensions just like an older car (pry the alternator in place and then tighten). You can also use a bar with heim-joints at each end.
A WP from a 1982 vette is standard rotation and fits right in for any L98 setup.
Neither, actually. You're not making a tensioner with it's own pully, you're tensioning the system by rotating the alternator. So the tensioner goes between the alternator and the block.
I read the link and the others links in the link.
What i don't understand is if always is needed to swap to a standard rotation WP...

Here is an easy way to determine which pump you need. If the water pump is driven off of the ribbed side (same side as the crank pulley) of the belt, you need as standard rotation (opposite of the L98) water pump. If the water pump is driven off of the smooth side of the belt, the stock, reverse rotation water pump will do. That is so easy even *I* can figure it out.
I wonder if the parts would be available to convert your pump from one rotation to the other. Could the impeller just be removed and pressed back on upside down?
