For my 95.... TunerCat and the correct definition file for programming. Also needed are a cable and a laptop. Datamaster TTS can be used for datalogging. PCMFORLESS could email you a custom tune for $75.

Did you swap your tranny, the 93 came with the 4L60 and it is a one year wonder.

No, you are mistaken. The E at the end represents it as a electronic transmission, which the 1st year for that is 1994. Like I stated earlier, the 93 a4 is a one year wonder. If you do a search on this site, you will see that I am right.
If you have a TV cable coming out of the ASR and going to the tranny, it is a 4L60.

The TH700R4 and the 4L60 are the same transmission. The 4L60-E is different because it is "Electronically controlled"

That sounds like an internal problem, send a PM to petek. He is the tranny guru.

If the transmission has a TV cable you need to modify the governor on the rear drivers side of the tailshaft to change the shift points. B&M sells of governor calibration kit that allows you to make the changes. If you have an electronic controlled transmission you can have it reprogrammed. A stock 1993 will have a TV cable.

If you've had the TPS unplugged without disconnecting the battery, the shift cycle will string out to high RPM's, before it re-learns your drive style - usually a couple of days' driving...

You want it to shift at 6500 RPM? A heavier governor might help. It works in a 700R. I'm not sure about your tranny.
