My battery went out, it was a Sears die hard. It came with the car four years ago and it wasn't new then. It weighted 32 pounds.
I removed the stereo and my car is mostly a track car so I went with a light weight battery. This Braille model is 11 pounds and I think I could have used their 6 pound battery but I do start the car in the cold sometimes. So I played it safe there.
My father has access to aluminum at work and buzzed out this plate:
With how little it weighs I decided not to relocate it. I got it from EDO performance, good place.

Keep us informed on how it works out for you. I've been using a 26lb Odyssey 925 with good results but have been considering trying the 15lb Braille to drop some more weight.
It's warm around here now and it's only been down to 50°, it spun up real fast but I won't know till winter just how well it does. I have to move the car once in awhile for shop space in under freezing temps. I'll update on that in five or six months!
BTW I used the two stock bolt holes under the bottom tray and tapped two new ones so there are four bolts holding the bottom down.
That is about the size of the PWC batteries in my ski's. It sure would be nice not to have to pull the side panel of the car off to swap batteries. I had to do that in the parking lot of Autozone at night a few weeks ago. PITA. Do you think it would squeeze out of a LT1 without removing the body? Do you think there would be any problems running a few accessories on it at the track? (bottle heater, auto bottle opener, EWP, etc...)

It's a dry cell (AGM) and can be mounted any direction. Also if you do get one make sure your charger is OK for AGM. I had a charger from the 80's so I picked up the Braille one while I was there. It charges and float charges, plus it's very small.
Rick, I am not sure about LT1 fitment. The computer is above there isn't it? The battery is so small I think it would fit but I don't have an LT1 to test it on. It is a deep cycle so no damage if you do run it down. I could try leaving the manual fan switch on with the car off and see how it does.

I studied the specifications on the battery and they are on the small side. With 360 CCA I would assume that starting the car in cold weather would be possible if the car starts quickly, but if you have to crank it for any length of time it will become an issue.

Mojave's lists at 280 IIRC and that one has been doing well. I'll see how it does this winter. I rarely ever have to start the car under 20° F. I think I did just once to move in another car that needed quick work.
