I just replaced the injectors in my 86 with a set I bought from FIC. When I start it up it is misfiring and popping through the exhaust and generally running rough. After it warms up it runs ok, but misfires a bit then seems to smooth out. I checked the error codes and only get one and only when it is running. Error “41”, the shop manual calls it “error 41 Cylinder Select Error”, but the code reader we used called it “error 41 Electronic Spark Timing, EST”. It is my DD and has 194,000 + miles on it. I like to drive it.
Has anyone had similar error codes and can provide some starting point as the manual has three or four pages of test procedures?

It was running smooth but had to really crank to get it started. And the MPG was slipping below 20. Now it starts quickly but runs rough and spits and bucks until it warms up. But does not run as smooth as before.
