Default Need help picking valve covers

I will be putting the motor back in the car in the next week and I am on the hunt for some valve covers. I will have no chrome or polished allum in the engine bay. The SR has even been pwder coated silver.

Here is the ones that I like but can not decide.

Does anybody have pictures of any these on their car? These things are pretty expencive (not a CF baller) and want to make sure I buy a set that looks good.

Thanks
Phil

The fabricated ones (2nd pic ) may not clear the wiper motor.
The carbon fibre ones look like my Comp Cams compositive covers (4" high ) and they do not clear also.
Wiper delete option in race car.

I had some cheap chrome covers on last year and had to modify (hammer) them to fit. I have decided I am not going to settle for some just because they will clear the wiper motor. I will make the wiper motor fit the covers.

I have some real carbonfiber rocker covers on my LT1. Quality is Top Notch. The carbon is perfect, they are very, very light and very strong. They will clear stud mount rockers with no problems but I had make up a 1/4" spacer to clear my T&D shaft mount rockers.

They also have them for the old style perimiter bolt pattern.

the proform cast aluminum are a good somewhat low dollar choice. $100 in polished or wrinkle black. as to the OP my vote is the chevrolet covers, they just look mean.

And I thought I was the only one that rough
The problem I have found is all the tall covers rise straight up ; not taper in like the one shown in post #5.
I am sure I have seen the cast Chevrolet ones fitted on stock C4's; they get my vote also.

Either a head shrinker got ahold of your miniram or someone set their tool boxes on top of your heads.

I have seen those and they are SWEET, however they are just a little above my budget.

That is the first pair that I have seen in a wrinkle finish. Where did you get those and what do they cost?

I have decided I REALLY like the first set however they are about 250 bucks and I do not know if I want to spent that much.

My second choice is the 3rd set that has the writing and bow tie. The only issue with these is will they fit and not hit the SR runners without having the lip on the sides?

I like the 3rd pair the most - hopefully they'll clear. How much are those?
