I had the cut lid and k&n filter , about 3 months ago i put a Vortex ram air on my 95. you have to cut the shroud to put it on. above 50 or 60 it feels a little quicker, i will take it to the strip when the weather cools down,if it give it a tenth or two i will be happy. got it on sale for $260.i am sure there will be a couple of people on here who will say that it is junk .i looked at this systen on a C-5 it looks the same, just made with thicker material and most C-5 people like it.
that is my problem. i want it but as i read i see that people do not like it and that it adds nothing. i am not sure. i really want real number gains. that is what i am looking for

If the search function was working you would find that most people that have tried the Vortex did not like it. They had problems with it warping and it showed little to no gain.
Search is working now. At least for the C4 section. Brains rebuilt the threads earlier today and they seem to all be coming up. If you have issues, pm him with the specifics.

I would like to see some track runs, being that a ram air system will show 0 on a dyno but should show what it is made of when moving.
a C5 friend of mine put the V-ram on his Z06 and gained almost 3 tenths at the track.
I know, different car, different system, but the concept is still similar.
I would like to see someone go to the track with a stock box and then toss on a vortex and see what it gives you, same day, same car.
otherwise, I will have to agree with vader
