Hood stuck

My 1987 Corvette hood is stuck. The right side releases, the left side comes past the first click and will not release the 2nd. Any tricks to force this thing open? I guess I could take it apart from below, but what a pain.

Any ideas welcome

Here are two old threads, one tells how to open it, the other is a pretty neat idea to make a back up way to open for when it does "go south", hope this helps.
