pinging problem

What can be some of the causes? 87 coupe stock Using 93 octane, new plugs/wires,(tuneup) fuel filter,egr switch,air filter,injectors cleaned.Also seafoamed. Still get slight pinging on hard acceleration from a cruising speed! Could it be faulty knock sensor and how would you check it? I am learning as I go here so any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the timing and do you know the procedure?

It's good to take care of all the maintenance but don't skip the obvious.

No I have not checked the timing, nor do I know the procedure. When I had the injectors cleaned, I had them check timing. Said it was correct.

could be your ESC module, MAP sensor, EGR valve, knock sensor. You need a service manual, or a good GM mechanic w/20 yrs exp.

I will check the timing. As I mentioned I am new at this. I figured out the timing procedure, only problem is I cant read the timing markings due to wear. Can someone send a picture of the markings on the block? I KNOW I need an FSM and will get one soon.
