So i purchased the 52 mm bbk tb for my 1992 lt1. My lt1 Does not have the Air intake manifold with the runners, mine is similar to the lt4, so when i went to install my bbk tb my power coupler was too small and i could not stretch it over the lip on the bbk because the rubber was already ripping. I then purchased the power coupler from ecklers (expensive piece of $90 rubber) and when it came it was to long! It was ment for the air intake manifold that is set up with the runners! so i need to find a new replacement for mine, (pic one). or someone help me with some ideas! PLEASE
Can't you just trim some length off the new one you bought?
You can put your old one in the oven for @ 300 degrees until it gets plyable and stretch it out as you put it on the TB.
You're original coupler will fit. Just get it really warm (just not enough to melt it) and it will stretch enough to fit. I had this problem at first, but now it fits perfectly.
I had the same problem. The 52 mm BBK lip is a little bigger that the stock TB. Someone here told me to heat up the air bridge. I tried that but it did not work.
I did get it on. I disconnected the air bridge from the air box. I placed it 3/4 of the way on the BBK without the metal strap. I put a shoehorn inside the air bridge and slipped it on. Then I took the strap apart and installed it. I guess you could just loosen the strap up.

Also, I would send that rubber thing back to eckler's. It will dry out and decay from the heat of your engine. You could suck a piece of rubber into your engine and POW! Get an OEM replacement. One from salvage yard is better than that one from Eckler's.
Corvette central sells the same part for $45.00.
