hey guys....joined up awhile back and then have been really busy with fixong up the house and trying to get the vette running right...

so i changed out the upper intake tubes and intake....put a polished throttle body on and put a new fuel pressure regulator on...now the cars runs like crap....

ive adjusted the fuel pressure to what the chilton book for it suggests and adjusted the throttle body sensor to the correct position. Still runs crappy...backfiring and no power when the gas is applied...

Im out of ideas....

Was the distributor removed for the work done ?? Are you sure there are no vacuum leaks ?? Was the MAT sensor put into plenum ??

If it's back firing it has to be firing when the intake valve is open.

Somewhere, somehow it sounds like your timing is out of wack.

Actually, if it's "backfiring" or "popping" in the intake there is most likely a vacuum leak Someplace. Look hard enough and you'll find it.. (easy for Me to say...)
