Default #1 spark plug

I am trying to get it out, but my header is in the way. I have the socket on it, just cant get a wrench or swivel to attach to the socket. I have tried from above and below.

Use an open-end wrench on the spark plug socket.

Get a socket with a hex on the end, and remove it w/an open end, or box end wrench.

Maybe go back with a "shorty style plug" designed for use with close clearance headers to avoid future nightmares.
