He was very informative over the phone. He told me of a few nine second cars using his trans which was reassuring considering I'm looking at low 10's. He also suggested a vig converter which is something I need.

My trans currently won't shift into auto at full throttle (we discussed this) and my converter sucks. I'm currently getting a little slip in my converter as well.

I"m still figuring out what to do with the car but if I'm going to rebuild the trans, I'm going to do the best I can which is the pro street elite kit along with a cryo'd input shaft.
Click on my name and see my DIY post w/ pics. I haven't completely updated it, but the transmission is finished. I started it up fine, but had a large coolant leak so am currently tackling the intake manifold leak, but broke 4 of the bolts.

I had close to zero experience removing the components on the car, didn't have normal shop tools (now I do), and worked mostly on weekends. Took me about 2 mos. Remember though that I worked very slowly, had lots of questions, and replaced way more than a regular rebuild kit includes (shift kit, ext. tranny cooler, rebuilt pump, changed all bushings, etc.).
If I did it again with the experience I have now, it could possibly be done in 3-4 days (including removal and installation). I did removal, rebuild, and reinstall completely by myself (physically) and with jackstands.
