Default Stealth Ram Install Almost Complete

I just have a few cosmetic and heat protecting items left but it turned out great. The car runs so much better not just from a power standpoint but it idles smoother and accelerates much smoother.

Once I get the hood scoop done I will install the new flash computer so I can have eight modes of engine dynamics. As well as boost control and laptop programability on the dyno.

And for those who would like to do this keep in mind there is alot of fabrication to be done with rerunning vacuum lines, wires, custom fittings, and emissions.

Here are just a few pics.

This whole project started when I had overheating problems. Well it turns out that the mechanic who installed the procharger did not follow directions very well and didn't tighten a few intake bolts( the ones under the plenum). I was changing the injectors when I just found to many things that were questionable so I did the whole intake.

I planned on doing the entire bottom end along with it but just didn't have the money so did what I could. Now its just the drive and check mode. No leaks or problems so far.

Later,

Lon

Where are you looking? I could not figure out what you are asking about so I could answer ya.

Thanks for all the complements it has been a long time since I dove into an engine this deep and I really am enjoying it. So far the most boost I ran is 1lb and it is scary fast at 3/4 throttle. A few more trips around the block and I will be able to really test it out. I cut out my own gaskets for the HSR so that when I hit boost it would hold I have heard of problems with this.

Thanks again,

Lon

The teapot references the P600B. If you think 1 psi is cool, wait till you get it to 8-10 psi.

I thought thats what you meant. Yea I finally put it to full throttle this morning and it lets just say first gear is all spin and second started to do the same before I let off. It really seemed to build boost quicker (part of that is due to the excessive spinning of the tires) and 60 came way fast.

I currently have the 8psi pulley and a intercooler so max will be 6psi or so right now.

I can really tell the system is moving more air now in the overall response of the engine. I wish I knew how much the previous owner did on the heads. It has roller rockers and a thicker head gasket to lower compression but I couldn't tell if there is any port or valve work or not. Although I am sure that with new heads and bottom end it will defiantly raise it to another bar.
