Default PCM removalk & install

I'm having my PCM re-programmed and trying to get to the computer under the right side dash. Any advise on the best way to access the ECM?

I thought it was very easy to sit on the floor along side the car and reach up in there. The first time I used a mirror to locate the two 10 MM bolts. Now it takes about 30 seconds.

Default PCM Removal

Do you need to remove the lower carpet cover? or just reach up above it?

I only removed the plastic hush panel that has the light in it on my year. Which I the left off as extra weight since you can't really tell it's not there!

Default pcm removal, re-program and install

I'm trying to remove the PCM chip to have it re-programmed. Does it reside on the ECM? my experience with getting to it has not been good. How do you remove the lower carpet panel? easily?

Yes it's in the ECM, check Moates.net I believe there are pictures there. There are just a few screws holding the lower hush panel on.
