need some help

Default need some help

i have a 1990 6 speed that dies after driving about 100 yards let it sit a second it will start up and run another 100 yards then dies again good fuel pressure and i replaced the ignition module didnt help any ideas thanks

Need more info. Have you done any mods to your engine? Have you changed any parts, injectors fuel pumps etc?. The more info you can give the better.

slp runners mallory coil afr head and a gm hot cam thats about all the engine work i put a new gm ignition control module and a new fuel filter for laughs still had the same problem

For starters check sticky at top of forum "injector videos and questions"
Ohm your injectors as laid out by Jon and post results. You are probably
still using OEM Multecs and their time may be over.

Before you throw any more money at this do some ground work. There will be a lot of people here to help you figure this out. It's like a process of elimination as there is usually no one answer.

did you hook up OBDII scanner to your 16pin ALDL to check for error History codes ??

Duct tape FP gauge to window during your 100 yeard sprints and see what happens ?

Did you put the heat sink paste on the back of the ICM when you swapped out ?

i put the stuff on the back of the module it doent die in the driveway i dont a code reader it there any other way to pull codes and my fuel pressure guage is mounted on the fuel rail but showed 45 psi when i coasted back to the driveway i was thinking maybe ignition coil or pickup but not sure

Actually, an OBD1 scanner. But it sure sounds like an ICM.

Your correct, for some reason I thought we were talking about a '96.

and definately could be a flakey ICM as you stated.
