Rack and Pinion
So the 87 vette I just bought had a real bad power steering fluid leak out of the rack and I was just wondering if this is a common thing to happen after about 75,000 miles? Cuz its turning out to be a pretty expencive fix at the good ol' chevy dealer... I would do it my self but I am at school and dont have the tools, the space, or the time!

You could say that seal leaks in 20 year old cars is common. 
Mine leaked at the pinion seal. Fortunately, I had the tools, space and the time. $180 for reman rack, a few beers and a few hours.
What is the GM project going to cost ??
