Smells like fiberglass
After driving my car a while and putting it back into the garage once it sits a while I smell a fiberglass resin smell (yes I know these cars are fiberglass). Does anyone else smell this or is it just a sign that my mufflers are the wrong ones for my car (car is an 84 and I got Later model mufflers on them) and things are getting a little too hot under there? My exhaust tips are about 1/2 to 1 inch from my rear bumper cover. I would surly dislike alot if I burnt my car up in a big fireball... Expecially in my garage connected to my house!

1/2 is kind close for my tastes but if the bumper isn't melting or hot I wouldn't worry. You may want to take a look at the rest of the exaust to ensure nothing is hitting any of the pipes underneath.

These cars arent traditional fiberglass,just so you know.
I believe they are SMC panels with urethane bumper covers.
That being said,you smell something burning or giving off an odor.Check the entire exhaust and the tunnel under the car by the exhaust.
