Critique this build. L98

Oh on the shorties, these will be 50 state legal right down to the tag and thats all Im sayin'.

A SR (may as well port that too) would put him over budget...for what he has into used intake parts and some grinding it looks attractive bang for buck. Down the road he could always upgrade (or just throw a 100 shot on there) .This will get us going though.
Illbe honest installing a Superram isnt something I want to do unless its new or close to it with all the vacuum leak issues you see.
Grind came in at the .530ish level with 1.5s

A 1.55 Crower would have been ideal but pricey so being as lift is now .571 and .548 ( now1.6 ratio) we now have Crane Golds. Ill trim the drip tabs so they fit under the stock cover.
So far whole motor is a touch over 5K, not too bad. Once it starts going together (next week) Ill start a new thread and post lots of pics.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Since you need to pass the KA smog visual, have you considered replacing the pre-cats with hi-flow bullet cats and having the main cat gutted with a 3" pipe welded inside. With 2 1/2" pipes in front & rear "Y"s and 3" pipes in/out of the (modded) main cat, the exhaust system should support up to ~450chp.
To see how restrictive is the main (un-gutted) cat, divide the flow number by 2.2 to get the max chp before back pressure begins to limit power.
ron, was the brainchild of this build from cam selection, compression ratios, to porting everything north of the afr 195 eliminator heads, and if ya'll are curious, i will post figures, otherwise i won't.
i can't go away without mentioning, that the way i am;
i tormented and badgered ron to no end and he took it like a champ, i will be forever indebted, a million thanks to a great guy that i met here!!
if i had more money it would have been a little different, just a little....

does that mean ron isn't doing the work for you?

SlickFX3: I see you removed the odd, evasive post originally appearing above. Kinda makes my response seem wierd, don't you think?
Even when I want to change what I said, I do just like I'm doing here... that is, enter a footnote.

so to relate this build to ron, no he will not be "installing the engine" per se, and machinining was never in the cards, due to numerous reasons and limitatons including time,
he no less "worked" and the results will represent his vision of building this motor around the "make the stock intake manifold as big as possible" theme and explode outward from that standpoint,
one of the most prolific persons here on this forum, what?, this forum i can't get info? either by posts, pm or face to face? please.
i didn't pay him a penny for any of the stuff i bought and i took advantage of his opinion, cause i had a gun to his head,
and because i thought it was so great that no one else in this whole world knew anything else about small block chevys.
and the engine is making 700 horsepower, yeah right.
you don't know the whole story give me a break.
like i said it was his decision, he didn't want to touch the exhaust, and i did NOT like the guy he reccomended, period end of story,it's my money, he couldn't do the job, i had my requirements he had his limits, end of story

I could tell by his (and your posts) how much effort was going into the header/exhaust issue.... way more than casual idea exchange from where I sit.

I asked two things from you only.
-Follow through and stick with a plan
-Green when needed: lights stay on work happens. If it doesnt, well..
You could have been driving this a week ago if you had just followed through and trusted me. On your email Im afriad you and this new "Corvette racer" mechanic "Jorge" are going to make a huge mistake, he does not understand how that system discussed works like he thinks he does.
More than one member, the machinist and vendors went out of their way for us to make this happen with time/bidget constraints; We got a lot of favors here.. The fact this car was to get ink was their incentive .In the end we all look like fools as you (again) last minute took your car somewhere else. Im not only dissapointed but left in a really bad spot $ wise.
Your car and your money though, youre right about that.
If youd like to post results for the guys feel free.
