Default L98 Injectors Original

Checking the Original injectors, they all say RP on one side of the connector, the other side says: W 53, W B, W A, W 56, W 55, W 54, W 49, W D. The "W" is above the following letter or number. There are no other markings or dates, or serial numbers on the dark grey topped Original GM Injectors. I used nothing but AMOCO Premium 93 octane gas and had a 100,000 mile garauntee from AMOCO that their gas would not foul the system. I ordered the car from the factory and put 108,000 miles on those injectors. They still look clean. Guess, I will use OHM meter on them next, to see how well they were matched, or not. Anyone want to guess what resistance value they will be, before I measure them? Then I will measure my new Blue Ford Bosch units that were flow matched.

Whatever you decide to do, you should speak with Rich at Cruzinperformance first. He's an honest and knowledgeable individual who won't sell you something you don't need.

Don't make the misktake of putting in too large an injector for your application, bigger is not better.

I've got a set of Accel's that work flawlessly but Rich can also rebuild/blueprint your originals if thats what you need for NCRS.

Thanks everyone. :) Yes, I absolutely positively plan on sending injectors to Rich at Cruizin Performance to be cleaned, tested, rebuilt, overhauled, etc... I'll go by his judgement on the blueprinting issue. :seeya No oversized injectors for me. Only stock parts on this baby. :yesnod: Thanks! And many thanks to Chris & Scorp too! :blueangel:

I must give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Chris! I met Chris & his wife and their son at the Corvette Annapolis Brunch this past weekend. I'm not sure who got more coloring in - his son or our daughter but they sure kept busy. :) He gave me his set of injectors.

Well I took everyone's advice and spoke with Rich. Apparently there are some differences between 1990 injectors and 1987 injectors. They were made by different manufacturers. He recommended I have the '90 injectors tested and then just use them in the interim while he cleans & flow tests my '87 injectors. Supposedly the '87 injectors are very durable. He has several customers with over 250k miles on them! Well, that just sounds like a plan to me! I'll have to hit the PO again - I've shipped out a water pump, carburetor, alternator for rebuilding this week - why not injectors too? :D

Thanks so very much Chris. :) :yesnod: ~Juliet

Good choice Juliet. And if Rich finds a bad injector he may be able to replace it with one of the same brand, if he has stock.
