Have not been on the forum much, but I thought you all would like to see what I have been doing to the Vette, It never ends! I'm starting with the rear, new brakes, rotors, bushings, & coilover setup. Then the front end.
My current project is building a Den for the me and the vette.
16x36 single car garage.
After that, I have many projects on the list, front coilovers being one of them.
Whose coilovers are you using ??
Nothing like a cozy place to park the Vette!
I purchase my coil overs from Exotic Muscle about two years ago. Yes thats true two years ago and I'm just now getting to it.
When I purchased mine thay had 3 different set-ups, Street, Performance Street, & Performance Track. It's been two years but I'm thinking I ordered street for the front & performance street for the rear, a little loose in the front & a little stiff in the rear for the my twice a year trip to the drags. All in all it should handle & ride much better than it ever has, as my suspension was worn out from old age. I found Exotic Muscle to be the best bang for the buck. It can be hard sometimes to get a hold of them, but they are very good people to work with. If you decide to get your coil overs from them let me know before you buy since you have an 86, the set up is different than most years. I can give you some tips on installation that makes it very easy to do.

I'll post a pic when I get under the hood, but this winter the TPI Plenum is coming off, the valve seal guides are getting replaced the valve covers are getting refinished and a new gasket is going on them, the EGR valve is getting replaced (sometimes it sticks) injectors are going to be rebuilt or replaced, and I'll have the tpi ported out and ceramic or powder coated.

Man! Thats what I wanted to do! I got a 2 car Garage..My vette and a my sportbike is parked in there while my Truck and SUV have to sit on the driveway.. want to build another single car garage so I can keep my vette there and do some work on it and not have anyone disturbing you while working on it...

Don't feel about having the coilovers on the shelf for 2 years, I have had an ES bushing kit, on the shelf for 5 years.
I'll pick your brain in the New Year, regarding your coiilover project.
I just got my magnaflow exhaust installed, and eliminated the resonater! It sounds nice and quiet in the car (no drone) and I'm pleased with the look, and the sound under load! It's in my album under my profile!
I'll probably wait until driving weather is over, but I'll be installing a Delteq ignition on the beast. Also, need to get a Dana 44 so I can install the 2400 stall converter I bought this summer.
