Default 1989 corvette dies

Mechanic said that I was not getting 12 volts to MAF and there was a poor pulse on the injectors. Any help are suggestions is appreciated. Thanks!!

No 12v on the MAF....you should change the 2 relays for the MAF: the burn off relay and power relay.

Always check your car for trouble codes first, check your fuel pressure @ the rail.

'89's are known for problematic Multec injectors.....get them out of there!

Fire your mechanic and buy yourself your own 1989 FSM (factory service manual) and fix it yourself.

get yourself an ohm meter and check the injectors yourself, its easy and free. Also, its probably your problem

Finally, autozone sold me a bad ECM. Vette back on the road and running. Thanks so much for all your help!!

Default I spoke to soon

I put new ECM in and it ran good while driving it around for about 30 minutes. The next morning after running it for about 10 minutes it went back to the same problem: When I give it gas it dies!

I believe it got a power surge of some kind to the ECM (probably damaging it again). Any suggestions is appreciated!! Thanks!

I suggest you follow the advise posted above, check your fuel presure and your injectors!

I can almost guarantee those OEM Multitechs are bad.

INJECTORS

Shorted Multitecs are sensed by ECM and it shuts the bank down. I had bad injectors in BOTH banks and ECM would shut the whole engine down

FICINJECTORS is the expert on injectors, has helped more members and sells great products. Do a search on this forum regarding injectors tx mike and you'll learn valuable info.
