Default TPI 85 to 86
What are the differences between the TPI set-up between 85-86. I was looking a Painless Wiring Harness. They say the TPI harness fits 86 up.

I thought 85 & 86 were pretty much the same.

The TPI is the same but the computer is different on the 1985 so the wiring harness is different.

Among other things, the 85 uses a burn off module to clean the MAF, 86-89 use a pair of relays. Harnesses would be different.

too much rouble to switch over and keep the dash working.
