Default Ford IACV and TPS?

would it be possible to use a ford iacv and tps with the stock wiring on an 88 vette? i know the connectors are way different. the reason i want to know is that im wanting to convert to a single plain efi manifold and the elbols that ive found use either the ford 5.0 or the ls1 throttle body and the ford tb is way cheaper.

I would think that it shouldn't be a problem. The ECM is only looking for a voltage from a sensor.
You could probably find connectors to fit the IAC and TPS with no problem but you'll need to make sure you have the same number of wires.

How ironic that this question comes up on the same day I had to replace the Idle Air Control Valve on my 2000 Ford Explorer...

TPS perhaps, IAC no way. The GM IAC is a stepper motor where the ford one is a duty cycled solenoid.

Make an adapter to use your stock throttle body.

The GM TPS has 5v reference voltage. .54 volts output at closed throttle and 4.5 or so at WOT. If Ford meet those specs I see no reason why one couldn't be used.
