I wanted a Vette for a long time. I went to and auto auction to buy a car for my 42 year old stepdaughter and picked up three cars a 97 Malidu106K a 04 Mustang 110K and a 05 Tarsus 85K. All of them with V6 auto a/c p/s p/w p/l cc, etc. I tried to sell the Stang and the Tarsus and gave the stepdaughter the Malibu. I couldn't sell the two cars so I thought I would try to trade them. The Stang I traded for my 89 Vette with 105K and the Tarsus for an 86 27ft Class A motorhome with only 20,140 miles on it. So I'm very happy with how it came

FEK ! What was the question again ? I want to use a lifeline !!
Found a guy here on the forum sellin his vette, and I've wanted one for about 5 years. Gave him a deposit, flew to Detroit, payed the rest in cash, and drove it 9 1/2 hours home. It was awesome.
I went to CNV Corvettes online while the wife was in the shower one night and bought my 93 five years ago. The wife wasn't very happy about the surprise. I have since spent the purchase price again on mods but doing a rolling burnout is priceless

I had a boat I wasn't using and got little response trying to sell it, someone finally became interested and asked if I would swap for the Vette, no regrets.
After retiring from the Army I found I couldn't keep up with the tech game anymore. It came time to sell off all the shop tooling and the shop. Paid off all the bills and knew what I wanted with the rest. I wanted a vette my entire life, and out of 100's of cars race or otherwise I had never owned one. Soooooo, one night I found mine online, woke up my girlfriend here at 4am and asked her if she could give me a ride to the airport. She was NOT happy. Flew to San Antonio that morning picked it up and drove it back here.
Couldn't be happier!
Dude,
First...Type slower, reading this with all the mis-keys was painful
On topic...My son wanted a newer car and his vette developed a knock. I forgave a debt of his and the car became mine. It seemed like a good opportunity to pass some time over the winter. The big block was one of those "hey, I think this will actually fit" things
One of my contractors had the Vette that he had bought for his son. It was a shame that the boy wasnt coordinated enough to drive the 4+3. I traded about $5k in invoices for the '85. It had new paint and alot of new parts. Still needs alot of work but its a hobby car. I will have more than its worth in it but its all mine and not my DD. I like it so far.
Back in the '90's I got tired of the constant physical back pain involved with pushing the extremly heavy clutch pedal in on my old hot rod (at the time was a S10 with a 383 stroker conversion w/ an air bag 4 link....blah, blah, blah......daily driver )....so the vehicle set for about 4 months.....then one day some punk kid, with more money than sense, knocked on my front door and offered me huge cash dollars for it....SOLD! Took the cash and went down to one of the local car lots and paid cash for a quality "used AUTOMATIC vette". Now my back only hurts when I climb in/out of the 'ol vette

They can hate on them if they like but I LOVE my auto Vette!
Let's see the 6 speed guys shift that fast Can't beat that first gear either
When I was looking for new sports car, I wanted coupe and convertible since my last car was convertible. So I looked around for 2 months for a 92 - 96 with targa top.
Got a good deal on car since needed whole tune up and the guy had 04 corvette and bunch other muscles cars.
Saving money and wanting a 35th Anni, I found one on AutoTrader after looking for 6 years. Transaction was done by PayPal for deposit, Documentation by Fax, and the pick-up was by a friend with a car trailer. 800 mile round trip to Philly and back.
