medium and short bolts, or with thinner plate, but than spacers/sleeves
will have to be used. What thickness is BHJ plate?

I don't have acess to one now, but I am going to guess 2 inches thick is about what they are.

O.K., here are 3 versions;
1. 3" plate with drilled holes to accept bolts
2. 2" plate, sleeves needed, 1/4" sleeve - 2 pieces, 1" sleeve - 7 pieces
3. 1" plate, sleeves needed, 1 1/4" sleeve - 2 pieces, 2" sleeve - 7 pieces
I'm leaning towards 2" plate, but I could make either without any
problems. I'm only not sure if stock bolt heads would fit drilled holes
that are 20mm in diameter in my drawings?
