BTW I've got a 160 stat

I just thought it was hilarious that when you looking up racing products it was the ONLY thing that came up.

Even more disappointing is that it doesn't tell how many tire shredding horsepower it gives. Seriously, if you go to Funfest, go to the Gordon Killebrew seminar in one of the tents, you will learn a lot from the person who knows them better than anyone else in the world....

....I believe his knowledge and insights into these cars is why he was inducted into the corvette "hall of fame" last year.

Okay, yeah it's funny as a joke, but don't knock around the Vette brands. MAMotorworks, Ecklers, Corvette America, etc. don't claim to be "race" oriented businesses, they focus on the appearance and maintenance of the OE-based Corvette field. They aren't going to have racing equiment like Summit or Jegs, but they never said they did. But if it wasn't for these companies, we wouldn't be able to restore half of the stuff in our cars.

Someone most likely listed the thermostat like that because it is under the operating conditions only racing would require to operate. Street conditions hardly need a 180 degree stat, let alone a 160.

I am apalled that you would imply that Mid America Autoworks is not up to snuff! They have been a shining pillar of racing excellence since....... umm...... like a long time ago!

Hey, Fellow Corvette owners,

We are just getting started on the Racing Parts offering here at Mid America Motorworks. Some of the other generations have more parts in their frames. We will be adding lots more items.

If you have suggestions of racing parts that you would like to see, or that you actually use on the track, let me know directly & I'll see what we can do about getting them listed.

steve.wiedman@mamotorworks.com

Our new 2009 catalog should be hitting your mailbox around the first week in February. You don't have to wait to see the new items. They are already on our website.

We do appreciate your business!

Hello, Fellow Corvette owners,

We have been working on the new Mid America Motorworks Corvette catalog & have not had much time to devote to the Racing section of the website. However, we are addding parts everyday. Take a look. We do have plenty of C4 performance and handling parts.

Let me know if you have any parts that work well or that you need for your track days. We'll try to add them.

Our new catalog will hit your mailbox in the next few weeks.

We appreciate your business !

Why people are on a car specific forum when they don't own one is beyond me.
