It is located on the passanger side of the block in front of the starter. There is a metal shield over the sensor that you have to remove. I believe that the electrical plug that goes to this sensor has to be squeezed to open it to remove it from the sensor. I would wrap the threads of the new sensor with teflon tape and have it ready to install. Take a large wrench and unscrew the sensor. Be prepared to have coolant flow from the hole. It may be plugged with rust. I used a screw driver to break out the rust....lots of coolant flowing...place your finger over the hole and get ready to put the new sensor in. REMOVE finger QUICKLY and install the new sensor. If you are quick, you will not loose too much coolant. Install wire....install shield.

Or pull the sensor and drain the passanger side of the block into a pan....until no coolant come out. Install new sensor. Install wire....install shield. Fill radiator up with engine running...continue to fill until you have removed all air.

Good Luck....

Mine has a square boss under the round perimeter, you can use a open end wrench to back it out, the stamped/formed Hex on the sensor will spin if the sensor is seized
