Default HELP!! loose window

Hi I changed the outter window seals and felt stops on my 91 couple. Drivers side is great! when I got into the pass side the window is loose or actually i can move it and see the linkage move as well so I don't think the bolts are loose the guide plate as loose as well and all the the antirattle felts. Does this sound like the regulator is shot? If so how do you change it? Or is it repairable?? Is it a job for a body shop or can a DIY guy do this? Personally I am worried About breaking the glass doing this on my own.. How do you change it if a DIY guy can?? Personally I am finding the FSM pretty useless on some things and the doors being one..

If the window is rolling up and down, the regulator should not be the problem, go inside the door and check all bolts (but use caution when tightening bolts on glass. When I replaced my window seals I had to readjust the glides near the top of the door to make sure the window was lined up tight against the weatherstripping. Should be an easy fix.

That is what I thought but can not find anything loose as far as nuts and bolts. But when you grab the window you can move it fore and aft and see the linkage move with it like there is slop in the rollers. Drivers side does not do this at al but someone has been in that door before I got the car.

There are 2 bolts in the very bottom of the door where all the window linkage mounts--these might be loose. You'll have to remove the big aluminum plate to access this hardware.

You should be able to use search as there was a door window thread not long ago that referred someone to a detailed thread in another section. One of mine is doing the same thing so I will be watching.

It's moving enough to drag when the door is opened.
It's here just might have to change your wording some.
Give door panel removal a try .
