You can spot/dab the RVT in a few places that's fine..but I don't think you'll have too much trouble if you don't. The only time you'd have trouble is if you RTVed it then let it dry for a long period of time before setting the intake. The "Right Stuff" is goooood stuff! Have fun!

Thanks Engle, I purchased some high Temp copper RTV, So I guess From What you have said: I will put a few Dabs of rtv here and There to hold the Left And Right Intake Gaskets in place, Run My right stuff on the front and Back, Carfully set My Intake back on and tighten To factory Specs. Im kinda back yard mechanic, I know just enough to get in trouble,
That is pretty much it - the less you dab the better off you'll be, uses just enough to hold it in place....just don't let the stuff dry too long before the intake goes on. For the bead you lay on the front and back of the valley area slightly overlap the RTV onto the ends the intake gasket just before you set the intake. I've never used the "copper high temps RTV stuff" sounds expensive. Make sure your intake, heads, engine block are extremely clean before you do the gasket/RTV install.
