Not sure why it would make a difference if you had a trickle charger on the battery. Sounds like someone at one time screwed up and blamed it on the battery charger. Makes no logical sense to me why it would.

Actually I found out that the noise (electrical noise) created by a charger can cause problems. The writter of Tuner Cat has e-mailed me about that ... even GM says not do program a computer with a charger hooked up

Sounds to me like you need a better battery if it cant even make it thru a 2 min memory flash. :smash:

Actually , it seems to take about 4-5 minutes to program. And my battery was a little weak since the car had been sitting there for 2 months at the shop. The engine had been run for probably 1.5 hours total (charging the battery, but apparently that wasn't enough to keep it charged enough for the fans and computer to pull a lot of power from it).
