Sorry, just saw this question.

Yes, swap in the LT4 knock module. I just read an article of the dyno results which showed that adding the LT4 knock module and a PCM re-program added 29 HP.

Also, the timing knock retard with the LT4 module went to ZERO.

I just went back and re-read all the previous posts looking for the cam specs, but I didn't see them.

When you have a chance will you post them, especially the Lobe Separation Angle number?

Thanks, Jake

Any tips on setting up the opti?
Lloyd's shop is only a couple of miles from me and I plan to drive over in a couple of weeks to talk with him about some mods my son wants to make on his 96 LT1.

The 96 LT1 and LT4 use the same knock sensors. The LT4 knock module is what you need.

Yep, you're right! MODULE is what I should have written, not sensor.

Thanks for that correction. I'll go back and edit my post.

Default Update.....

Well I sent the PCM off the Wongs Performance Engineering to get a basic tune will I can get a dyno tune.

I just got my Heads in from Llyod Elliot. LE2

And I just picked up my Intake from the powdercoating shop

Now I guess Im going to throw the heads on and get a measurement for the pushrods so I can get them on order and next day them.

Im still waiting on the Harmonic Balancer they said it would be here. I paid for next day shipping and its been 3 days.

Im real close to final assembly.

Default Update****

Im about ready to drop the motor in but I wanna get the rest of my valve train installed first. Should be easier with the motor out. I'm waiting on the pushrods. I played dress up and mocked the valve covers and intake on.

You can drop the engine in fully dressed....accessory bracket, ps pump, plugs, plug wires, shorty headers (or stock manifolds if you're re-using them), etc. Like you said, MUCH easier out of the car

It's probably going into closed loop, and the o2 sensors are screwed up because the lack of exhaust.
