I will plan this out but it wont happen before the end of summer, probably will make a couple of the custom Aluminum plenums and take the out of the box HSR plenums on trade and then lower them like mine. So all in all, there could be 4 HSR L98 plenums available by fall, and MAYBE, on or two could be for the LTX cars but I have no dimensional info for this at all.

My engine is in 1000 pieces right now so it will take the next several weekends to reassemble it, then several weekends after that to recover and drive it.

Plan on driving the Hot Rod Power Tour this year, one way or another.
If you recess the plenum over the runners or cut it up to fit under the hood, won't you lose plenum volume?

Yes you do, but so far my 406 CI car ran 115.8 MPH in the quarter with a Miniram, and ran 116 mph in the 1/4 with a HSR. So unless you have more cubes, I don't see any issue. If I can get my car to stick, I would not be surprised to sit go closer to 119-120mph.

or what would you pay to alter the plenum that comes with the HSR so it would fit?
Your competition has it at $325

No pics!

I am glad actually, there is no way I can make them for profit, that's what people did not understand, by the time I pay $75 for material and put no less than 24 man hours into them, there is no profit at all, I just enjoy making stuff....

I hope they look awesome!

I think they are just making/selling a custom upper plenum that bolts onto the steath ram base. I don't think they are modifying an existing Holly plenum. So for ~$75 dollars of material + labor to build the custom plenum they would stand to make a profit selling at $325. The offer price seems very fair and competitive and at least there is now an alternative for vettes....pics would be nice though.

Still no pics.... Out OF Stock, place your "backorder now" means....

if we get enough orders to not loose money, we will make some...

Nothing wrong with that mind you... but they have to post a pic to prove they have made at least one..

once again, I hope it is for real...I was considering selling mine and making a new single plane / elbow setup, but it looks like they will be doing these HRS's eventually.

Larry,
They have made at least one. This is where I purchased mine several years ago. Stamped steel, as you know. I'm still running it on my 383. I didn't think "Grumpy" was doing them anymore but maybe I'm wrong.

Cheers,
John

Grumpy probably got turned off by the big debating that was going on when he first started the custom HSR plenum. But I think he may be interested in building them again for a group purchase.

Hey John89, how do you like your custom plenum? Did you have any problems that were mentioned by those who debated the design? (i.e. air distribution to rear cylinders) I heard a lot of talk that went both ways but neither side could provide proof for their arguments. If the custom plenum does not cause issues, hell, I am getting one.

BTW John, do you have any pics?
