Don't forget about the transverse spring in the rear. My 65 did that when new, found the spring was never bolted in.

I was trying to find out what part of Texas you are from but couldn't locate it... I would say to go buy the parts and see if a forum member wanted to help out. If you are in Austin I would be more than willing to get the hands dirty again to help a fellow member save a couple hundred :-)

Thanks for the offer! I will remember that next time it needs some work. Besides, I love Austin!

I am in Houston, it's less than a 3 hour drive...
