Hey guys. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering. I have a 1987 C4 Corvette that has died on me. The car was runnning perfect, then one time I stopped driving it for about a week. One day I had to move it, so I try to start it and nothing. I charged the battery, and it cranked over, but not enough juice. So I went out and bought a whole new battery because the current one was really old. So I poped that one in, and nothing. So I gave up for a while. Then I tried it like 2 weeks later and it completly doesn't work. It doesn't even crank over. I tried manually turning the crank pully, and it didn't budge. I took the starter off and tested it, and it was perfect. So I put it back on and then tried taking all the spark plugs out, and trying it. Nothing. I'm afraid it's froze but thats the last thing I want to think . Do you guys have any suggestions? Please help me!
Your questions sound a little "phony". How did you "manually turn(ing) the crank pully"? Who waits 2 weeks, "So I gave up for a while. Then I tried it like 2 weeks later and it completly doesn't work." ?
You also posted this in the C5 section?!
I notice you are "brand new" here, are you a "troll"?
Can you hear the starter solenoid click when hit," crank" on the ign sw?
If not, look up VATS in the search function because most likely that is the cause of a no start problem.

You can turn the crank by putting a deep socket with a long breaker bar on the center hub bolt.
This post does seem a bit ......taking off starter to test...hmmm

I'm not trolling. I'm a 16 year old kid trying to get my car fixed, and if you don't know how to manually try to spin the crank pully, then I don't want your advice.Your a Senior member and you don't know what I'm talking about... I'll wait for more people to post. Please help me guys!!

What is a "troll" anyway ??????
Oh, I know how to turn the crank manually. But someone who knows this AND has the tools is not a novice. His questions seem like he is setting up a scenario where his engine is "froze". Who has a problem starting, charges battery and it cranks (but not enough), buys a new battery (still won't start), waits 2 weeks, takes off the starter (tests okay), and tries to manually turn his car over (locked up), takes all the spark plugs out, and trying it. Nothing.
A Internet troll is someone who joins a Forum and asks provocative questions just to see how many replies he can get.

Is it in park? Do you have the Key in? Why would it "freeze" did you have any Anti freeze in it? Did you check to see i you are getting fire from the Coil? Is the fuel pump on?
Pull the relay for the security system (it is the same as the power seats) then re set by disconnecting the battery.

To the OP, it really could be a lot of things from your description. Could be a VATS prob, bad starter, fuel pump, the list goes on and on. If it was running fine and it just quit starting its prob not frozen. Do you have a battery charger to keep the new battery alive till you figure it out?
Yes. I'v got one. It's just makin me mad. I mean, this was handed down from my father, and it means alot to me. The last thing I wanna do, is have to part it out. Someone please help me!

Lord NO! A vett is always worth fixing My dream is to havd mine down to my kids so I am sure your dad wants you to keep it.
It kinda sounds like you have a voltage "leak", like something is draining the battery. Have you tested voltage at the battery? Should be around 12.5 volts. Also check the voltage at the starter and it should be the same. If they're both good and you dont get a solenoid click, then I would suspect a bad fusible link.
