driving today the car stalls, then I start it back up and lasted a minute or so, then died again. Thought she was out of gas but that wasnt it. So now it will not start unless i spray in some starting fluid in the TB then it immediately stalls. Im thinking fuel filter, could somone please tell me where this is located on the car? its a '90
Check the fuel pump, a dry FP will burn up quickly. When you turn the key on, but do not start the car, you should hear the fuel pump run for 2 sec., if you do then disconnect the fual line at the fuel cap and see if you have gas coming out.

think the filter is mounted on the passenger side frame rail on the front half of the car, I need to change my '91 filter soon so I'm gonna have to look it up but I'm pretty sure that's the location.
If you trace the fuel line back you should find it, I have 'heard' it's not so easy to remove/replace...
Hopefully it will just be the fuel filter. Mine did the same thing last week, and it wound up being the coil that was shot. (93LT1). I went ahead and ordered a Ignition coil module as well, just to be sure since it was OE as well..
Good Luck!
yep, fuel filter is pass side behind the front wheel on the (frame) mine had rubber hose at both ends so it was easy to replace, if the fuel pump runs.. then, im thinking fuel filter or check for voltage at the injector harness, that harness has a ground that if it is disconnected they wont work, i think its behind the pass side head?, check that too, if the pump doesnt run, then, check press, fuel pump relay, and all that stuff, but check the other stuff first, you could ALWAYS use a new fuel filter anyways, and thats the cheap way out, hope it works! let us know.
replaced the filter and pump, still doesnt run. I had it towed to my buddys shop and hes going to try and figure it out tomorrow. Appreciate all of the tips guys, im hoping I have time tomorrow to go down there and figure it out myself, rather than pay 60/hr for labor!
you know, that injector harness does make sense b/c it would cut on and off when i was driving it, which would make me think of a loose connection that finally gave way

I took a look at the car tonight, I could see the wiring that was connected to the FI but couldnt see any loose wires. I also couldnt find the ground wire, do you know which one it is? color?
if it were a problem with the injectors, could they all go bad at once? Would the car at least run a little if it were only one or two?
Also, could someone please tell me where the injector fuse and ground is?
thanks again

It's not IF a multec will fail it's a WHEN. Multecs are crap. Using fuel injector cleaner in them is frowned upon(premature failure). Get some rebuilt ones(Brand name/reputable seller). I am not trying to sell you anything, nor promote anyones business,. I am just passing on the information about the poor design of the multec injectors and the countless problems that occur with them. Hope it works out for you.
Multitec's aren't crap, they were never made to run ethanol. Check you FP first then work your way up the car. Your problems are classic FP failure, Jon is correct though. FI's would be next, diagnose the problem and don't throw parts at the car and hope to get lucky.
FLAWED how????
GM put them in all kinds of cars and engines and over multiple years, don't see what you are basing this on, my car ran flawless for over 12 years and then ethanol came along and they went bad.
Not trying to bash you, but he needs to stop asking questions and start testing things out.

ground wires are almost always going to be black, not sure if or where the fuse it (don't think there is one).
You really need to ohm test the injectors, if any are bad the car would run lousy due to the design of the engine.
are you saying there is a seperate coil in each injector?
I am working on the car tomorrow, if it is the injectors, does anyone recommend a particular brand to go with?
any good websites you would recommend
