Catalytic converters might be bad/failing/blocked.

A couple of things - If it has a Cold Start Injector, you'll need to make sure it's firing when cold. Otherwise the Coolant Temp Sensor is your Choke - you need to see what it's telling the ECM when the engine is cold - preferably after it's sat overnight. The only way to do that is with a scanner, but you could throw 12 Bucks at a new one. There's no need to install it. Just disconnect the old one and plug the harness into the new one. If it starts ok, the sensor is the problem. If not, there's still a possiblity that it's the wiring or the ECM and you're going to have to hookup a scanner to figure it out.

I also have this problem, I believe it is the cold start injector but not 100% sure. Is there an easy way to check this without removing the plenem??
