where can I order these and make sure i get the ones made by dana so i dont get any whine? also where do I order the gear to correct the speedo? im going to do this install myself at the shop i work at, with the help of a guy i work with who is a gm master tech and is very familiar with c4s.
any way if i could get some good links to shop at and maybe an install kit and a list of whatever else ill need
Not trying to be a wise guy, but if your friend is a Master Mechanic for GM, it would be better if you asked him, he probably can save you some money, and aggravation too. Good luck, I wish I had a GM Master Mechanic as a buddy.
I bought my Dana OEM 4.10 gearset from a forum member that worked at a GM Dealership. Unfortunately, he no longer sells the gears. I think now most buy the Dana Viper 4.10's.
This Dana "Super 44" 4.10 gear set (48084/48085) with a six bearing/three seal build kit with shims $500 shipped. Most ring/pinion gear set bearing install packages include only the pinion seal with 4 bearings. My package will include the short axle bearings with seals. A complete build!

I'll include the only other part required for the install which would be the transmission rear seal which you will need to install the transmission drive gear.
If your '92 is a "high miler" it might be the "right time" to do u-joints!
