I searched (both here and Google) and looked in the FAQ but couldn't find specifics.
I recently obtained a 7,000 mile stock LT1 shortblock out of a 1995 Corvette. I want to see how it compares to my Fbody LT1 shortblock (besides the addition of 4-bolt main) and the specifics of the internals.
I don't know about the Camaro version of the LT1. Does the Camaro engine have Aluminum 58cc combustion chamber, angle plug heads like the '95 does? Cam specs could also be different. Corvette's Multec injectors are 24#.
I believe the only difference between the short blocks is the 4 bolt main. The Vette had a better flowing air intake and exhaust that gave it the 300 hp and 340 ft-lb.
The '95 and '96 Corvette LT1 <4 had vented Opti Spark distributors. Earlier Corvettes did not have the vent. Also the connection to the cam is different.
Don't know about the Fbody LT1's.
