When I get bent around a left hand turn and really step into it, i get this noise that sounds like it's coming from the passenger side rear. It almost has the same sound as the ABS self check or the traction control. But it only happens once in a while.
The car is a 94 6spd
Thanks
If you did change the diff fluid, did you add the GM posi additive?
It may be the posi unit going out. Try lighting the tires up in a straight line with ASR off. Both tires should leave equal distance tire marks. If you hear the clicking sound, chances are the clutches in the posi are toast.
If it was a wheel bearing, you should hear it all the time or at least when you just take a corner on the street. If the posi clutches are real bad, you could feel it.
Drifting puts a lot of strain on the entire suspesnion. Check all of the rubber bushings in the rear suspension components.
I did just change the diff fluid, I used the pennzoil 70-80 (like my manual says) the oil said it was for limited slip differentials and did not require the additive nor recommended it.
In a straight line the posi traction is leaving 2 big beautiful black marks.
I know all my bushings are toast...
I'm on the fence with autocrossing, because I don't make enough money to support it.
