Default 1991 corvette L98 problems

Once the car gets warm up I can't go over 3500 RPM because the car will lose 90% of its power. If I stop the car however and push in the gas the car will rev fine. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Check your fuel pressure at WOT. It appears that you may be running out of fuel. Once you determine if you have a fuel related problem you can then trouble shoot the problem.

I had a simular problem with a 700r4 in an Iroc, the car had 120K miles on it and was a daily driver, after it got hot it would lose power. but you put the car in park with no load it would rev rite up and sound normal, I ended up changing the tranny, doing a complete tune up and the problem was gone when I got it all back together.... How does your tranny fluid look {mine was dark and smelt burnt}? Good luck, with out driving the car its hard to say what it could be....

How many miles?
There are a few things you can check if motor is breaking down under load, ignition plugs, wires, cap & rotor, air cleaner, catalytic converter blockage, fuel pressure under load tape a gauge to window shield see where reading is when you lose power. Dose the condition change when motor is hot? Do the easy things first. Are you getting any codes?

At night in a dark place, look for sparks along the spark plug wires. If you have missing or broken wire looms, replace them. Plug wires must not touch metal because there are pinholes in the insulation and a spark will jump through to ground. Measure the resistance of each plug wire, they should be about 5000 ohms per foot. Replace defective plug wires. Look inside the distributor cap for carbon tracks. Look at the rotor, the hemispherical well in the center for carbon tracks.

You may have converters that are bad. To test for a clogged exhaust system loosen the exhaust pipe flanges at the manifolds & take it for a ride.

This would be my first guess, an exhaust restriction.

If every thing is like you say then you need to look at the fuel system
