Hardened pushrods and guides question?
Should hardened pushrods wear into the pushrod guides some what, hence the reason they are hardened, or should they not wear in to the guides at all?
I have been told different things by a variety of people, so what is the correct answer?

They may have some type of rubbing marks on them as they can flex. Unless they are binding/wearing funny I wouldnt worry about it.

I have CC hardened pushrods, and CC Pro Mag non-self aligning RR.
I cannot recall what guide plates, I was thinking the stock config didn't use, becuase they have self aligning RR's?

Yes, it runs fine, correct parts.
I broke a valve spring a while back and I noticed the guide plates had some where in them. I have had experienced people and mechanics say it is normal, which is the reason for the hardended pushrods (so the guides don't wear the rods down), and others say they should not wear/move at all.

It may leave some marks but shouldnt be wearing anything down like a file. I've got this setup on my '85 and the instructions say its fine as long as there is no binding or excessive wear.
