Default Intake off, what to replace?

I took my intake off to port and powdercoat and am wondering what should I change on the engine so I don't have to go through this again.

Any suggestions?

What year? On an LT1 there is nothing really hidden by the intake. On an L98, the injectors and EGR I know are unaccessible w/o removing the intake.

Fuel pressure regulator. Consider installing an adjustable.

Already have the AFPR. It's an L98.

Distributor? Injectors? Nothing worth going aftermarket?

Not really for the distributor. I mean you can get new 22 lb Bosch III injectors. Might smooth out the idle if yours are shot. One less part you have to worry about down the road...Unless your taking off the heads, then theres really nothing left. I replaced my entire distributor though because it was shot when I had my intake off. No power gain though....Unless your making some heavy power, id keep the distributor, ignition ect stock. If your heads are coming off, you can replace the head gaskets, have them ported and polished, get your runners ported, port th ebase if your not already doing that, definatley scrub off any corrosion, rust, or dirt.

If you have original Multec injectors, installing a set of Bosch III's would be a good improvement. FIC has a set of rebuilt for $189.

Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail Oring Kits. Might save you a repull later.

according to your profile you have a 90. The injectors if stock multecs are very problematic, they are not compliant to alcohol or e-10, 15 or 85. Also, most fuel injector cleaners are not recommended to be used on these since they are mostly alcohol based. A set of Bosch 3 replacements are 169 for the set. These will greatly enhance the performance due to the way the newer injectors atomize the fuel out of the nozzle of the injector. Doing a plenum pull on a L98 is a PIA.. Don't do it twice. Also by using Bosch 3's if an injector ever has to be replaced you can do it with the plenum on.
