Finally: the build can start
Amazing isn't it

Thanks
Thanks
I put the center console back together (still had it apart from the tranny R&R) no problem there, but I figured while I was sitting in the car I'd see how the clutch pedal felt. Well it wasn't good, it had a little resistance than it went soft and to the floor.
Checked fluid, level a little low but not enough to explain the feel. So I remove the slave from the trans to inspect, it checks out OK. When I got back out from under the car and looked at the fluid level again that's when I realized what happened. When the slave is out of the trans and the rod is fully extended (as it had been for the past 5 months) it pulled enough fluid out of the reservoir that air was able to get into the system. So now I have to bleed the system again, but I at least don't need any parts.
So FYI: Make sure before you unbolt your slave from your trans that you have plenty of fluid in the resivoir so you don't have the same problem.
Second problem was noticed while I was under the car dealing with the slave, I realized I hadn't plugged in my oil level sensor. Doesn't sound like an issue, that was until I went to plug it in and it won't. My original sensor was leaking a little so I wasn't going to put it in a new engine, so I bought a new sensor.
FYI to anyone needing a sensor the 90-92 has one style connector the 93-96 has another. I got one for a 93-96 and my car is a 91, oops.
You like to fish? You must because you have the most patience in the world. I couldn't stand to work on anything else or do anything else if I knew this was waiting on me to finish up. Keep up the good work and I'm (and I'm sure a lot of others) are really looking forward to the end result.

Got the clutch hyd. rebled and reinstalled, pedal feels good.
Put the new connector on the oil the oil level sensor harness.
Drained the oil and refilled with Rotella. A friend strongly suggested doing this even though I have a roller cam he still thinks the zinc content is important for ring seating during breakin.
Drained the fuel and refilled with fresh 93 octane.
With all this done I think I'm esentially done under the car so I was able to lower the jack stands and bring the car down to a more comfortable working height.
So I was able to drop the radiator module in and get everything except the upper hose hooked up (obviously no intake yet, so no upper hose).

I used a flexible universal hose for the lower to replace the original that I'd had to stretch to fit over the water pump inlet of the standard rotation water pump. With the universal hose the fitment was perfect and it could be bent perfectly so there were no contact points.

With the radiator in I was also able to install my new spoiler (dam I get have to get under the car again).

I'll keep you all updated as I make progress. I'm hoping with a long weekend and minimum plans I'll be able to get pretty close to makin' smoke.

And added an inline fuel pressure guage to compliment my pillar mounted electric guage so I can tune/observe while underhood.

Thanks for all the support guys.
Its getting close I'm hoping to be able to fire it up this weekend.

Too bad too...I was really interested to hear if AFRs + super-modified-SLPs + 383 would just be stupid torque with a 6-spd. (Never even seen/read what a 6-spd with SR and 383 can do -- with a stick.) I spent an equal amount of time (as Dane) porting my SLPs, then polished the snot out of it -- for bling. Now I'm feeling compelled to do the HSR now that I'm also on the 383 road.

I really wanted to get this going with the SLP setup, the torque should have been stupid and the horsepower on the various sims I ran wasn't too shabby either. Sims showed 425hp 550ftlb of torque and it should have pulled to 5500rpms
Problem came when I got it all assembled and started doing my final checks before starting it I noticed my fuel pressure was only 25psi and it didn't matter how far I adjusted the regulator. When I pulled the vacuum line from the regulator fuel was pouring out it.
I've had a Miniram sitting on the shelf in the garage so when I started tearing the intake down to replace the regulator diaphragm I said heck withit and just pulled the intake completely off and started doing the mock-up for the Miniram.
I can honestly say I wish I'd left the LTR set-up on there and driven it for awhile, I know it wouldn't have been the fastest car at the track but it would have been pretty dam fun on the street.
Gregg is also correct that this is the set-up for sale in the FS parts section and FYI the regulator diaphragm has been replaced.
When I get the Vette runing with the MiniRam on it I'll start another thread.
Thanks for the interest though guys, I'd forgotten about this thread.
It sure looks great!!

Here's a link to a thread with a little more detailed info on the exhaust.

No clearance issues with the Hookers, just have to do a little work to make some of the originals brackets (or make your own ) work.
I completely agree, but I'm still kicking myself for not at least getting it going with the LTR just to enjoy all the dam time I put into it.
But I apparently have issues
. Never got the LTR setup running, I don't have the MR setup running yet and I've already started planning a 427 (and as you know even started buing a few items for it
).
As you can see from the included pics I've made one major change since I initally began this engine.
Main thing that's left is to start working on the tune. I'm working with someone very knowledgable out of state so I've got to start datalogging (just got the equipment and need to learn to use it) and it's going to be a back and forth situation, it may take awhile but I know the end result will be worth it!
It actually does start and run right now but it's got the original tune from Pcmsforless for the SLP/LTR set up in it so I'm not comfortable driving it. When started though the engine is quiet, has great oil pressure cold and hot, is smooth and vibration free at all tested RPMs and even with the incorrect tune will bury the tach (in neutral of course) as fast as I can twist the throttle to wide open.
Once I get the tune right, I can get the ride height set and align the car. Hopefully have this thing on the road this summer finally (owned this thing 4&1/2 years now and put less than 20 miles on it since getting it home).

And lastly my care package that arrived Friday (Thank you Craig)

PS
Sorry guys I was cleaning out my Photobucket and think I deleted some of the original pics in this thread.

WELL DONE - very

..thaks guys..i learn a lot every day reading these threads
