Default Full Throttle Problem

Hi All,

Just had my 96 out and if you manually hold the trans. in first (auto)
it bucks/hesitates after about 5k,better on gear change to 2nd but returns after 5k again. Doesn't seem as bad if floored in fully automatic operation. Iam confused, any advise?
Thanks

It could be wires or plugs if they haven't been changed in a while. Other possibilities are valve springs, fuel filter or pump. Has it been tuned up lately?

Yes asr was off. I understand when you mention plugs or wires,it isn't a miss. It is like a bog at higher rpm, kinda weird. It only has 17k on it.
Everything is original and like new. Fuel pump was my thought too because how it feels when it does it. "Normal" driveing it is fine. Only on very hard acceleration. It does it to a certain degree when you hit passing gear also.
