^^So when you did that, you basically unhooked the electronics and the TV cable....The Shifter linkage....four bolts that connect it to the Bell housing and out the thing slid???
Was there wriggling to get it to release?
Yes, except 86 doesn't have the TV cable. It popped out without a hint of grief, unlike the C beam.
Bell was still bolted to block.
I'm doing the clutch, short throw arms and checking out the syncros and shift forks. About once a month, she pops out of 1st or 2nd, during a decel.
Mine was poping out of 2nd during decel also. I assumed that it was just worn syncros or a bad adjustment on my short throw shifter arms. In an unrelated action, I changed the tranny oil & replaced it with Royal Purple 70w-90w gear oil and it has NEVER popped out of gear since. This was over a year ago now & still no popping out of gear. The tranny is significantly quieter and shifts MUCH smoother with the Royal Purple; also no leaks. GO FIGURE?
Are you uncoupling the 4x3 from the Super T10?? Do you have one of those nifty .pdf files for me that shows me what to do??
No, I was going to, but I have decided I don't want to open a can of worms, this late in the year. I will leave it to a REAL winter project and hope that a linkage adjustment may help. The pop out is so scarce, that I'm not too concerned.
I will upload the stuff you want and PM you a link.

Can I have a copy too in case I switch back to a 4+3?
I've been trying to crack them apart just now...they don't seem to want to give in and let me open it.....maybe the pdf will have a step within that I am passing up
I think before you start counting the money you need to first start detailing that jack. Maybe chrome the wheels, powdercoat the jack in a nicer color. Then maybe add some wood stain to really compliment the package.
after that man I see pure profit .....
nice work though if I ever gotta do my 700r4 thats what I will try.
